About This Event

Type Electives Lecture Series:

Type Designer AMA Series with Troy Leinster

Join our Type Electives directors Juan and Lynne for an insightful discussion on “Finishing and Publishing a Typeface” with an focus on business and marketing, featuring special guest Troy Leinster.

Juan and Lynne will begin by sharing the basics on how to finish and publish a typeface. They will then be joined by Troy, founder of the type foundry Leinster Type and instructor of the Type@Cooper program in NYC.

Together, they’ll dive deeper and engage in a lively conversation answering community-submitted questions, exploring topics such as “How does one know when a font is 'finished'?”, “Is it better to publish typeface independently than submitting to foundries?”, followed by a Q&A session from our audience.

Send us your questions through our Instagram @typeelectives

The event will be hosted online via Zoom.

We look forward to having you with us!
